About Jacob Heath

Jacob Heath is a Baltimore-based designer and founder of a custom couture atelier located in the historic Pigtown district. Born in 1998 and raised in Baltimore, his work is rooted in a deep connection to craftsmanship, structure, and the evolution of traditional techniques.

He began his training studying couture under a Maryland couturier, developing a strong foundation in precision construction and hand-finishing. He later expanded his expertise as a furrier, specializing in the restyling of vintage fur garments into modern silhouettes. Continuing his formal education, he studied fashion design at Stevenson University, further refining his approach to design and garment development.

Today, his atelier focuses on creating custom, made-to-measure garments that balance structure, artistry, and individuality, each piece designed to reflect the client while maintaining a strong, distinctive point of view.

Before establishing his own studio in 2023, Jacob worked with nonprofit organizations, teaching sewing and garment construction while assisting individuals in developing trade skills and securing employment. This experience continues to inform his commitment to craftsmanship and meaningful, intentional work.
